Ergodic Theory Along Polynomials and Ramsey Theory

The talk will concentrate on the mutually perpetuating connections between polynomials, uniform distribution, combinatorics and Ergodic Theory. Some old and new problems will be reviewed. The lecture is intended for a general audience.
